Lebanese turmeric cake - Stouf
Ingredients for 6 people
- 250 g fine semolina
- 1 glass flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons Terra Madre turmeric
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom water (or rose water)
- 1 glass milk
- 1 handful pine nuts
- 2 glasses sugar
- 1 glass vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a tart tin. Mix the semolina, flour, bicarbonate, sugar, fragrant water and turmeric in a bowl. Make a well and pour in the oil and milk. Mix well to obtain a homogeneous paste. Pour the mixture into the tart tin and decorate with the pine nuts. Bake for 20 minutes.
