Mint teas
Mint green tea is rooted in the traditions of North Africa. It's much more than a drink; it's an art of living, a symbol of conviviality, hospitality and sharing. The preparation of mint tea can become a veritable spectacle, where every gesture must be executed with care and precision in front of your guests. A whole universe opens up to you.
Parfum de Médina
Green tea Mint
Mint leaf, naturally fresh and invigorating
The choice of quality mint is essential for making a good mint tea.
At Les Jardins de Gaïa, we take care to select quality leaves with European partners:
- Traditional spearmint with its mild flavours;
- Peppermint, known for its soothing, digestive properties and slightly spicy flavours.
Peppermint infusion is appreciated for its tonic, slightly spicy flavors and its many virtues. It is particularly indicated at the end of meals for its stimulating effects on the digestive system. Antispasmodic and soothing, it helps maintain general nervous balance. Enjoy alone or with other herbs.
For a deliciously refreshing mint infusion, it's important to use a high-quality organic green tea too. At Jardin de Gaïa, we use quality green tea leaves, carefully selected for a balanced, fresh and tasty mint tea.
As good hot as iced
Mint teas are among the most popular.
While we're often used to drinking them hot, they're also delicious as iced teas or mocktails.
Here's a recipe idea using our Parfum de Médina tea:
- Brew 4 teaspoons of Parfum de Médina in ½ liter of simmering water (75°C).
- Leave to infuse for 3-4 minutes, then strain. Pour the infusion into a jug filled with ice cubes.
- Add a few fresh mint leaves if you like!
- This technique produces a true iced tea, with no bitterness and no need to add sugar.
- For an intensely flavored drink, add 3 tablespoons of Parfum de Médina to 1 liter of cold water, and leave to infuse for at least 5 hours in the refrigerator, ideally overnight.
- And enjoy!
