Tea preparation tips

An ideal everyday companion
Genuine organically grown, post-fermented pu'er from a protected 1,500-year-old wild tea forest located between 1,500 and 1,800 m above sea level in China's Yunnan province. This variety of Camellia sinensis (Assamica), remarkable for the extreme concentration of its large leaves, produces high-quality teas renowned for their benefits!
At Jardins de Gaïa, our teas from Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan (China) come from these wild and original tea bushes. Promoting these ancient tea bushes prevents deforestation in this part of the world (more info at www.wildtea.net).
Prepared according to ancestral know-how, Belle du Yunnan is a post-fermented pu'er that releases a brilliant red cup with a sweet, fragrant flavor. This tea is particularly appreciated in China for its unique aromas reminiscent of leather and undergrowth, its ability to reduce fat and its antioxidant virtues.

Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Did you know?

Unlike production tea bushes, which are no taller than 1.20 m to facilitate plucking, old-growth tea bushes can reach 15 m in height and require a traditional harvest, with pickers climbing the tree to collect the coveted leaves and buds.
