The film book

The lynx as you've never seen it before! In his first film, internationally renowned photographer Laurent Geslin tells the saga of a lynx family in the Jura foothills. The meeting of a young female with a male, the birth of their young, and the challenge they all face to survive and find a place for themselves, while their species remains heavily threatened. This book tells the story of the film, with sumptuous photos and an account of the lives of these emblematic felines. It also takes us behind the scenes of this fascinating adventure, and takes us alongside the photographer-director, who confides in us the secrets of his most beautiful and unusual shots.

The author

Laurent Geslin is an internationally renowned naturalist photographer, winner of numerous photographic awards, including the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year. He regularly collaborates with leading wildlife magazines and environmental conservation NGOs. He is the author of Safari urbain (Altus, 2010), Lynx, Regards croisés (Slatkine, 2014) and The Lynx and Us (Wild Media Foundation, 2018, book in English in collaboration with Dr. D. Hetherington) and L'odyssée du renard (la Salamandre). LYNX is his first feature film.
