A terracotta teapot for aromatic, nuanced infusions

Yixing "Longdan" handmade Chinese teapot - ochre (yellow clay - benshang duani) - approx. 25 cl (250 ml). Delivered in a luxurious fabric pouch inside a padded box with clasp.

Made entirely by hand from yellow "benshan duani --本山段泥" clay, this "longdan -龙蛋" teapot adopts the highly prized dragon egg shape.

It has the ability to rise rapidly in temperature, which is ideal for teas that need to infuse at high temperatures (wu long teas, dark teas including pu'er, black teas).

Types of tea that can be brewed with this model :

Due to its composition (numerous mineral inclusions), duani clay is particularly porous and retains heat for a long time. This type of teapot gives remarkable results with boiled pu'er or roasted wu long, whose flavors benefit from being rounded out.

The large capacity of this teapot means it can be used to brew for several people as part of a gong fu cha.

5/5
