Tips for preparing rooibos
Thirst-quenching and delicious, you'll immediately fall under its spell
Sought-after for its rarity and for its gourmet flavours, which are more floral, honeyed and spicy than classic rooibos, wild rooibos offers a beautiful coppery cup with a powerful, complex taste that reflects its luminous terroir.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Tea and food pairings
For a successful pairing, rooibos should be overdosed or over-infused, so that its natural woody and vanilla flavours are enhanced by the food. As a result, it's a perfect match for "classic" breakfasts and snacks: toast, pastries, cakes or madeleines, but also most desserts, making it a perfect candidate for a "café gourmand" caffeine-free version.
