Yunnan Green
Tea preparation tips
A refreshing green tea for all day long
From original tea bushes, this harvest of large, twisted fir-green leaves releases a pale green infusion with a scent of undergrowth moss. The smooth liquor reveals a fresh, herbal flavor underlined by a slight bitter note. A refreshing, easy-to-digest beverage for all day long.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Ancient and wild tea bushes
We offer teas from Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan that come from ancient, wild tea bushes, rich in active ingredients and antioxidants. This variety still grows in the dense tropical forests of the Golden Triangle mountains, and its promotion prevents deforestation in this region, and enables local minorities to survive.
Plain tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Tea and food pairings
Slightly overdosed, this delicate green tea can be paired with shellfish, pan-fried vegetables flavored with a few light mushrooms, or a yellow fruit dessert to enhance its sweet flavors.
