Houses & expertise of excellence
Did you know? Les Jardins de Gaïa have joined "Maisons & savoir-faire d'excellence" (MSFE), sponsored by Guillaume Gomez, to raise the profile of French culinary professions. An association worth discovering!
In September 2021, we launched the "Maisons & savoir-faire d'excellence" association alongside 11 other French craftsmen in the food industry. Sponsored by Guillaume Gomez, former Elysée Chef to 4 Presidents of the Republic and ambassador for French gastronomy, its aim is to promote and perpetuate French excellence and know-how in the trades of taste. What is the association's philosophy? Who are these prestigious artisans? What criteria led the MSFE association to ask us to join them?
The foundations of the MSFE association
Founded by four exceptional French Maisons - Armagnacs Darroze, Maison Barthouil, Confiserie Adam and Champagne Leclerc Briant - this association is above all driven by a community of passionate craftsmen. Together, we share the values of passion, high standards, ingenuity, uniqueness, a sense of taste and, of course, respect for the people and nature that provide our raw materials. We also wish to highlight the art and the manner, the know-how and the gesture, to make French excellence shine throughout the world.
Just as we're already doing in the organic and fair trade sectors, we've decided to join this association to pool our strengths, leverage our networks and share our creativity, in order to carry out concerted actions aimed at professionals, and focus on education for the general public.
Members of the association
MSFE aims to represent a range of typically French savoir-faire, including Sauternes from Château Gilette, liqueurs from Maison Briottet, anis from Flavigny, charcuteries from Maison Vérot, cheeses from Philippe Olivier, oils from Château Virant and Meert wafers. Other members will be joining us in the future, while retaining a human dimension conducive to exchange and sharing.
MSFE criteria
The founders of MSFE have invited us to join this movement, whose main criteria revolve around product quality and the artisanal dimension, themes that are dear to us, both in the relationship with our partner-producers and in the importance we give to the artisanal and manual dimension of our know-how as creators of tea recipes.
- Being a manufacturer and producer: carrying out at least one stage of manufacturing or processing.
- Expertise: real, unique know-how, "human-manual" expertise.
- Traceability: the producer must have vision and expertise over the entire production chain.
- Be a premium brand, a benchmark in its field.
- Be a craftsman, small business or SME, and not exceed a certain volume of sales or headcount.
- Share and embody the values of the association.
