We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Bredele with Christmas spices: Alsatian Christmas cakes
Ingredients for approx. 50/60 pieces:
- 2 tablespoons Christmas spices
- 250 g flour
- 150 g butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g sugar
- 1 whole egg
Preparing the recipe :
Allow butter to soften (ointment consistency). Mix with sugar, egg and salt (last). Add flour and Christmas spices, mix and chill for two hours. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4-5 mm, cut out the bredele with cookie cutters and place on parchment paper. Glaze with egg yolk. Bake for 5-10 min at 160°C, depending on desired color.
Tip:
For even more delicious bredele, you can glaze them straight from the oven with 1/2 lemon juice mixed with 50 g powdered sugar.
