In its original, traditional wafer form, this excellent pu'er will delight fans of the famous fermented tea. Its smooth, round, slightly sweet flavors and rich notes of undergrowth will develop over time. A sure bet!

Canguan Yisheng organic tea specialized cooperative
Terroir
This cooperative of small producers is located in Cangyuan county, in the southwest of China's Yunnan province. The cooperative brings together some 200 families, many of them ethnic minorities with close ties to nature. The tea bushes here range in age from several centuries to over a thousand years, producing tea leaves used to make Pu'er. The oldest tea plant, the Xiang Zhu Qing, is over 3,200 years old. Fengqing county lies in the Hengduan mountains, and enjoys a subtropical climate with dry and rainy seasons. The soil is mainly alluvial and numerous rivers, such as the Lancang, provide a reliable source of water for land irrigation.
Context and challenges
Global warming-related weather phenomena such as floods and landslides have tested the cooperative's resilience in recent years.
Community projects
The Fairtrade Premium helps the producer community to overcome these hardships by subsidizing families with modest incomes and financing their children's higher education. It has also enabled producers to modernize their tea production facilities.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.

Ancient and wild tea bushes
We offer teas from Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan that come from ancient, wild tea bushes, rich in active ingredients and antioxidants. This variety still grows in the dense tropical forests of the Golden Triangle mountains, and its promotion prevents deforestation in this region, and enables local minorities to survive.
Grand Cru Tea
Because we have always chosen teas of excellence produced by long-standing partners, we have a few rarities that gourmets will appreciate. Harvested green teas from Japan, black teas from Darjeeling, spring teas from China, vintage pu'er or carefully hand-braided teas, organic teas of incomparable finesse for memorable tastings.
Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.

Tea and food pairings
The aromatic palette of this cooked puer, ranging from undergrowth to caramel, offers a wide range of tea and food pairings: from pan-fried mushrooms to roasted root vegetables, pumpkin gratin and desserts based on nuts, honey, orange or spices. This type of tea can also be paired almost systematically with a wide range of chocolates and cheeses.

Ce pu'ehr shu( noir) a un agréable goût boisé, pas trop fort juste ce qu'il faut . Il n'a pas de goût intense sauf si on le laisse infuser trop longtemps mais un complexe simple qui est agréable a boire chaque jour .

Ayant reçu ma commande hier je ne l'ai pas encore gouté,mais la galette compressée présente bien et a l'odeur alléchante d'un Pu'Her haut de gamme! Un bon point pour Gaïa:la galette avec son emballage d'origine était en plus emballé dans du papier à bulles.
