Organic flavored teas for free access to seeds
For several years now, we've been supporting the Kokopelli association with our committed teas and infusions. Find out more about this partnership!
With the "Semences Sans Frontières" campaign, which we support through our Thés & Infusions Engagés, the Kokopelli association has been fighting since 2000 to ensure that rural communities in the poorest countries once again have access to viable, reproducible seeds.
This right has been stolen from them by the big seed companies, who have forced them to buy sterile F1 hybrids, making them dependent and weakening them to the point of great distress.
With Semences Sans Frontières, their food autonomy is preserved and ancestral know-how is "reactivated".
Field actions on common paths
Ever since the first organic fairs, we have been linked to the members of Kokopelli by support, mutual aid and friendship. By launching its "Seeds Without Borders" campaign, Kokopelli has enabled many farmers around the world, as well as some of our producers and their families (South Africa, India, Vietnam, Laos), to benefit from vegetable seeds and diversify their food resources.
So it was only natural that in 2013, Kokopelli was one of the first associations we supported through our Thés & Infusions Engagés. Since then, many farmers around the world have been able to benefit from royalty-free, reproducible vegetable seeds that enable local populations to become self-sufficient once again and diversify their diets.
Kilos of seeds distributed free of charge every year
In 2016, 431 packages containing hundreds of non-hybrid F1 and non-GMO vegetable seed varieties were distributed in France and around the world. Each shipment is accompanied by numerous technical fact sheets, giving recipients access to the knowledge they need to set up seed production gardens.
Three teas to support Kokopelli
Rêve éveillé de Gaïa: the natural sweetness of white tea blended with vanilla and the energizing aroma of ginger is an invitation to a gentle reverie.
Le joueur de flûte: this Vietnamese green tea recipe combines the tangy aromas of bergamot with the sweetness of vanilla. A fresh, light tea to try as an iced tea!
Parfum de résistance: on a black tea base, a particularly aromatic trio of cocoa, licorice and orange unfold for an intense, intoxicating liqueur.
