Organic teas to support an agroecological center

Discover our flavored green tea, flavored black tea and flavored rooibos inspired by the philosophy of Les Amanins agro-ecological center.

Founded in 2003 in the Drôme region by entrepreneur Michel Valentin and farmer-philosopher Pierre Rabhi, the Les Amanins agroecology center shows the way to reconciling agriculture, the economy and ecology. Its school, courses and forums make this unique and richly human place a real crossroads of exchange, where what we do produces meaning and enables us to be at peace with ourselves and therefore with others. Since 2013, we have supported 3 key actions of the center through our committed teas and rooibos.

A sensibility and values that unite us

Les Amanins was born of the meeting between Pierre Rabhi and Michel Valentin and their shared vision of ecological and more humane agriculture. Our meeting with the Amanins team and, above all, with Michel Valentin, the founder, at a gathering of eco-employers, was the start of a friendship tinged with the same sensibility and shared values. As members of the Colibris Movement, we are involved on a daily basis in designing a society where Man and Nature are at the heart of our priorities. Here and there, like the hummingbird in the legend, we try to do our part to move towards a better, fairer world.

The Hummingbird School: relational ecology first and foremost..

Cooperative pedagogy" is at the heart of our teaching at the École du Colibri. The École du Colibri at Les Amanins was conceived and created by Isabelle Peloux, who was Michel Valentin's companion before he passed away in 2012. Her teaching model is attracting growing interest, as it not only takes the child into account, but also the interactions that can be positively generated within a group of students. It's known as cooperative teaching. In this way, integration takes place naturally, and the school promotes both the child's personal development and the creation of a "peaceful society". Through discovery classes, youngsters learn to perceive and respect the "miracle of life" through the cycle of water and living organisms, making bread and cheese, recycling waste... Ecology is promoted through concrete, easily assimilated examples. For Isabelle Peloux, "we need to promote relational ecology, otherwise it's all meaningless...".

Together, let's take part in the adventure of the agroecology center

The donations generated by the partnership between Les Amanins and Les Jardins de Gaïa, through the Thés et Rooibos militants, help support and give life to agro-ecology projects. They represent almost 5% of the association's annual budget. Three key actions have been funded since the birth of our partnership in 2013:

  • 2014 to 2016: covering part of the salaries of the two teachers at the Colibri school, pending the school's transition to a simple contract with the state. Maintaining low tuition fees to make the school accessible to all.
  • 2015: funding for the Amanins' 10th anniversary celebration. The aim was to pay tribute to the partners, citizens and employees who have supported the association since its inception.
  • 2016 to 2017: funding for communication tools and time devoted to revitalizing discovery classes, which have a major educational impact on children.

A flavored green tea, a flavored black tea and a flavored rooibos inspired by the Amanins philosophy

Le songe du colibri: take a green tea, pair it with the freshness of lemon and the herbaceous, spicy notes of basil, and you've got a dynamic, flavorful tea to help you take flight and look on the bright side of life.

Hymn to the earth: this recipe, based on black tea, combines the roundness of blueberry with the tangy notes of blackcurrant. A tasty hymn to what the earth has to offer when we take care of it.

Douce humanité: the warmth and sweetness of rooibos are enhanced by the marriage of mint and orange peel. A recipe so tasty and luminous that it makes you want to share it immediately..
