In Japan, green tea is prepared in small stoneware teapots (Kyusu). A filter in front of the pouring spout holds the tea leaves in place during serving, allowing several infusions of the same leaves to be made. The leaves float freely in the teapot, unhindered by the narrow filter, allowing them to develop their full aroma.
Traditional Japanese handmade teapot in red ceramic with engravings, with horizontal handle and built-in stainless steel filter. Capacity approx. 260 ml.
Filling quantities are measured to the rim - the actual quantity in daily use is slightly smaller.
Please note that the shape, color and size of the ceramic may vary slightly! This applies in particular to our teapots, which are all at least partly handmade.
Product use:
Ideal for brewing small quantities of tea. Traditionally used for brewing Japanese green teas (only).
Care instructions:
To clean the teapot, "tap" it and rinse well with clear water through the spout. If possible, the sieve should not be removed.
