Scented tea
An original scented tea is made in the producing countries using traditional processing techniques. It may be a tea scented with fruits such as citrus, but usually flowers such as jasmine or rose. The freshly plucked flowers are skilfully brought into contact with the tea leaves, then removed once they have released their fragrance.
The technical moment
The tea is processed and combined with jasmine flowers. This is the perfuming stage. Once blended, the leaves are left to rest overnight. The next morning, the producer removes the jasmine flowers to avoid bitterness. The process can be repeated several times, depending on the type of tea.
Tea and food pairings
The flowery notes of this traditional tea will add a touch of originality to summer starters based on cucumber and fresh mint, as well as salmon papillotes, chicken aiguillettes with curry or shrimp ravioli. It's also a perfect accompaniment to sweet desserts with red fruit mousse, such as raspberry charlotte.
