Committed teas and infusions: a range that makes sense

Publish on 09.26.2024 by Les Jardins de Gaïa

Treat yourself to a good cup of tea or a tasty herbal tea and give a helping hand to a concrete project at the same time with our "Les Engagés" range.

Created in 2013, the "Les Engagés" range of teas and infusions enables Les Jardins de Gaïa to support numerous projects in favor of biodiversity and those who promote it.

This approach, which reconciles ecology and economics, echoes the values we defend and strengthens the ties we have with the partner associations we feel close to.

Committed teas and committed infusions: a simple principle that's sure to please!

With this range, we invite you to join us in taking concrete action: with the purchase of each tea or infusion, you support an association committed to the defense and protection of nature.

For each tube or bag purchased, Les Jardins de Gaïa donate 1€ and 50cts respectively to the partner association. Thanks to this range, €191,916 has already been donated between 2014 and 2022 to the associations we support.

For the "homemade" recipes of these teas and infusions, we always favor original and daring combinations of plants, spices, flowers and aromas, as a nod to the specificities of each association.

Treat yourself while giving a helping hand to the concrete projects of men and women working for biodiversity and a better world!

Associations supported in 2024

Kokopelli, fighting to preserve seed and vegetable biodiversity

Since 1999, the Kokopelli association has been campaigning for the liberation of seeds and against the patenting of living organisms. With the support of its members, it distributes between 1,400 and 2,000 plant varieties or species (depending on the season). All seeds offered by Kokopelli are free of rights and reproducible.

At the same time, the association helps many farming communities around the world to become self-sufficient, acts as an early warning system, and organizes workshops, conferences and seminars to preserve agricultural know-how and diversity.

The LPO, working to preserve our bird species and their environment

Founded in 1912, La Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux is one of France's leading associations for the protection of nature. With over 50,000 members and more than a century of experience, it works on a daily basis to protect birds, safeguard biodiversity and raise awareness. It is present in many regions and departments via local associations.

Recognized as a public utility, the LPO has a major impact on ecology, notably through its care centers, which save numerous bird species every year.

Les Amanins: reconciling ecology and economy

Founded in 2003 by Michel Valentin, entrepreneur, and Pierre Rabhi, farmer and philosopher, Les Amanins agroecology center aims to reconcile ecology and economy, by proposing alternative solutions to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

The project is motivated by two questions: "What kind of planet will we leave to our children? What children will we leave to the planet? Aware of the importance of these issues, the team at the agroecology center is proposing solutions for co-constructing a common future in which humans and nature can come together, notably through the Ecole du Colibri, which focuses its teaching on cooperative values.

Biodynamie Recherche, which aims to promote respect for and protection of the environment through biodynamic agriculture

The Biodynamie Recherche association aims to promote biodynamic agriculture and its environmentally-friendly methods.

It promotes scientific work on biodynamic agriculture, supports the development of biodiversity on farms, promotes beekeeping that respects bees, conducts research into vine regeneration, and more.

It also contributes to the dissemination of knowledge about biodynamics, through the publication of books, booklets and compendia related to its projects. It also organizes meetings to promote the emergence of alternative solutions and new fields of research in the agricultural world.

Sea Shepherd, fighting to protect precious marine ecosystems and their biodiversity

Founded in 1977 by Captain Paul Watson, Sea Shepherd is an NGO that takes action against the destruction of marine life, sometimes in spectacular fashion. Sea Shepherd fights against overfishing, the use of driftnets, whaling, dolphin hunting, seal hunting..

Committed to the survival of the oceans, Sea Shepherd fights against all threats to marine populations, victims of the destruction of their habitat. Its courageous actions against poachers who plunder marine sanctuaries with impunity have raised public awareness and made the association particularly popular.

The PCGS association, which aims to preserve great apes and their environment through field actions and awareness-raising (PCGS)

The Projet pour la Conservation des Grands Singes (PCGS) association was set up in 2006 by primatologist Sabrina Krief and photographer Jean-Michel Krief to protect wild chimpanzees and their tropical forest habitat.

In Sebitoli, in the north of Uganda's Kibale National Park, PCGS founded the Sebitoli Chimpanzee Project to reduce poaching and pollution. Its aim is to contribute to a better cohabitation between farmers and wildlife through organic, sustainable and fairer farming.
