Origin of ingredients
Mineral Springs tea garden
Terroir
Mineral Springs tea garden is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the Darjeeling district. The region's climate is subtropical, and the rainy season extends from April to September, with peak rainfall in June. The region's soil is silty and rich in organic matter from its forest cover. Water sources are plentiful, with Lake Senchal and the Teesta, Rangeet and Blason rivers providing the garden with water during drier periods.
Community projects
The garden, created over a hundred years ago by the British, has come a long way. Abandoned after India's independence in the 1950s, the garden's community long distanced itself from tea-growing. With the help of outside associations, the community banded together to create the Mineral Springs Tea cooperative and revive tea growing and harvesting. Every year, the cooperative runs permaculture courses for an international audience, a real showcase for the farming community, which also grows ginger, cardamom, oranges and turmeric. The growers also work as carpenters, masons and herders, making this one of Darjeeling's most dynamic tea cooperatives.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Darjeeling PGI
Guaranteeing the origin of our teas is one of our top priorities. We're delighted to finally be able to display the official Darjeeling logo on our packaging, a guarantee of the geographical origin of this tea that we've cherished since our origins. Since 2011, the European Union has recognized the only existing PGI for tea. A guarantee of protection for Indian producers and consumers alike.

Early tea
Discover fresh, delicate teas bursting with spring flavors! Considered by some to be the quintessence of natural teas, primeurs are the fruit of the first Camellia sinensis leaf harvests of the year.
Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
