Tea from Nepal
This black tea, harvested in summer from small, high-altitude plots, is a gourmet delight. Its leaves release a surprisingly powerful cocoa aroma. On the palate, vegetal notes of licorice wood give way to delicious aromas reminiscent of milk chocolate and vanilla.

Kanchenjunga Tea Estate
Terroir
Kanchenjunga Tea Estate is nestled in the heart of a tropical, mountainous forest at an altitude of 1,800 meters on a plot of land of around 94 hectares. With well-drained, acidic soil and abundant rainfall, the climate is ideal for tea production. Founded in 1984 by over 100 farmers of different origins, Kanchenjunga Tea Estate is a pioneer in the production of high-quality organic Himalayan Orthodox tea in Nepal.

Today, soil fertility, deforestation and erosion are major concerns for its farmers.
Community projects
The Fair Trade Premium enables the cooperative to address these concerns through sustainable land management strategies, including the application of eco-responsible farming practices and ongoing training for its farmers.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.

Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.

This Darjeeling, with its notes of waxed wood, is ideal with a fruity comté cheese, a bunch of grapes and a handful of nuts for a simple, elegant snack or savory aperitif. For an autumn buffet, add a delicious pumpkin pie to this trio.

Moins typé que Balade dans l'Himalaya, mais excellent. Du coup je le sers plus volontiers à des personnes qui n'ont pas l'habitude de ces thés de haute montagne qui sont très particuliers.
