Carefully hand-picked, this white tea combines young shoots and spring buds with a soft, cottony appearance. Brilliant and limpid, its long infusion releases fruity, tart flavours reminiscent of quince.

Terroir
Located in western Hunan, China, Guzhang County enjoys a mountainous subtropical climate, with four distinct seasons and significant rainy seasons. The county's ecological importance has been recognized with a national award. It is home to some remarkable protected species, such as the Colchis Pheasant and the Golden Bunting, as well as plant species such as the Ginkgo and the Chinese Yew. The county is particularly rich in water resources, with numerous rivers and reservoirs. The soil is limestone.
Background and challenges
Nestled in the heart of this landscape, Guzhang Gaofeng is a cooperative of small growers whose members belong to the Miao and Tujia ethnic minorities. During the harvest season, farming and tea picking are their main sources of income. Then, in winter, construction work takes over, enabling the producers to support themselves and creating a cyclical way of life.
Community projects
Even the unusual drought of recent years hasn't discouraged the producers, whose fair trade premium enables them to undertake major projects. This has enabled them to acquire land to expand tea production. A clinic close to the villages was also built thanks to the premium and continues to be improved, guaranteeing constant access to care for the producers and their families.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.

Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Tea and food pairings
This delicate white tea can be paired with dried fruit such as almonds or cashews. It can also be served with slices of pear or white peach, which will complement its discreet flavors. In a savory version, it can also be served with a light-tasting dish such as early peas or zucchini, or plain tofu.

Un grand classique des thés blanc avec des feuilles entières de bonne qualité. Un gout très subtile que j'apprécie beaucoup. Je le prenais depuis des années en version parfumé aux fleurs et fruits mais depuis le changement de recettes, j'ai préféré passé à celui-ci qui est nature.

Je viens de le recevoir donc trop tôt pour avoir un avis. Vous devriez envoyer votre questionnaire plutôt 1 ou 2 semaines aprés la livraison. J'ai remarqué que pour les avis sur les produits sur votre site on retrouve souvent cette remarque "pas encore gouté" La note oblgatoire est donc un 5 car j'ai entierement confiance dans la produit reçu
