These tea filters made from natural plant fibers (wood cellulose and Manila hemp) are manufactured in Hamburg, Germany. The filters are compostable.

Manila hemp is a natural fiber extracted from the leaves of the abaca tree (Musa textilis), a banana species native to East Asia that renews itself quickly and easily. Highly resistant to breakage, this fiber was once used to make ropes for boats. It is mainly produced in the Philippines and Ecuador.

These fine filters meet the strict quality criteria of the aromatreu® registered trademark, and are designed to preserve the "intact flavor" of the finest teas. They have not undergone any bleaching and have been assembled without glue, using a pressed fiber filling. The bottom gusset gives the leaves enough room to develop their full flavor.

These filters can be closed with a filter clamp* for easy tea infusion (*clamp sold separately).

Dimensions 130 x 85 x 45 mm (height/width/thickness). 100 filters per box.

To develop its full aroma, each tea requires its own special preparation.

Black tea preparation :

1 teaspoon of tea per cup (2 g for 25 cl). Pour in hot water (90°C). Leave to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes.

Green tea preparation :

1 teaspoon tea per cup (2 g for 25 cl). Pour in simmering water (75-80°C). Leave to infuse for 2 to 3 min.

Preparation of white tea :

8 g tea for a 1-litre teapot. Pour in simmering water (75-80°C). Steep for 5 min for flavored teas, 5 to 7 min for plain teas.

To prepare wulong tea :

8 g tea for a 1-litre teapot. Pour boiling water (95°C) over the tea, and leave to infuse for 5 to 7 min. Several infusions are usually possible.

To prepare rooibos :

3 tablespoons of rooibos for a liter teapot (1 teaspoon per cup). Pour in boiling water (95°C). Leave to infuse for 5 to 10 min.

Preparation of fruit herbal teas:

3 tablespoons of herbal tea for a 1-litre teapot (1 teaspoon per cup). Pour in boiling water (95°C), cover. Leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes.

Preparation of herbal teas:

Place a pinch of herbal tea per cup in the filter. Pour in boiling water (95°C). It's important to cover the water; the active ingredients of a plant are volatile essences. Infuse for 5 to 10 min.

Product use:

Filters for brewing loose tea or herbal tea: insert the material into the filter, close with a filter clip and hang in your teapot.

Care instructions:

Remember to compost your filter with the tea.
