Adapei Papillons Blancs d'Alsace, an association at the heart of humanity for 70 years
Created from the merger of several associations in the Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin departments, APBA is part of the great history of the parental movement. Born out of the desire of parents to build a fairer world for their children with disabilities, the association has passionately and energetically defended these founding values since its inception.
Today, the APBA is recognized as a public interest organization and is a member of Unapei, the largest federation of French associations working for the rights of people with disabilities. Present throughout Alsace, it manages nearly 60 establishments and services, employs more than 1,300 professionals, and supports a total of more than 5,000 people, including 3,000 people with disabilities and 2,000 people trained each year by ETAPES Formation.
These figures reflect a concrete reality: every day, families find caring support, tailored solutions, and above all, a genuine community based on respect, dignity, and solidarity at APBA.
A clear vision: inclusion, self-determination, and citizenship
The APBA advocates a strong and deeply human vision of society. Its ambition is to build a society based on connection, not rejection.
For the association, inclusion is not a buzzword, but a fundamental approach, chosen and developed with the people concerned, in accordance with their specific needs. Each support project is based on the principles of self-determination—enabling everyone to make their own choices, express their desires, and actively participate in social life.
The APBA also promotes triple expertise: that of users, families, and professionals, who work hand in hand to build tailor-made solutions. This collaborative approach guarantees truly personalized, humane, and effective support.
By placing people with disabilities at the center of its project, APBA does more than just offer support: it changes perceptions. It invites everyone to recognize not the differences in others, but the richness they bring.
A history of values and commitment
Adapei Papillons Blancs d'Alsace defends essential values: respect for difference, solidarity, and the right for everyone to be an active participant in their own life. Since its creation, the association has emphasized that every person with a disability is a full citizen, capable of participating fully in community life.
Its simple yet powerful message guides all its actions:
Together, further, stronger!
A motto that embodies the collective desire to build a world where every difference has its place and where solidarity is not just a word, but a concrete, daily commitment.
Papillons blancs, a socially conscious white tea blend that supports education by backing the APBA
To support the work of the APBA, Les jardins de Gaïa has created "Papillons blancs" especially for the "Les engagés – Agir pour l'éducation" range, with the principle of donating €0.50 to the association for every bag purchased.
Based on a light and fresh white tea, this recipe invites you to flit from flavor to flavor... From the very first sip, its notes of pear on a caramelized base with surprising spicy and floral accents seduce the palate. For intense and indulgent moments...
Don't hesitate to discover and enjoy it, and in doing so, support the tremendous commitment of L'Adapei Papillons Blancs d'Alsace, which works to create a more inclusive world by promoting the citizenship of people with disabilities.
