Tea preparation tips
A charming tea
Picked on a full-moon evening in the Selimbong garden, shrouded in Indian mysticism, this early black tea is an enchantment! Its liqueur offers particularly expressive flavors of cut grass, fresh almond and wildflower honey that coat the palate with gourmandise.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Demeter
is the brand for products from certified biodynamic agriculture. We promote biodynamic agriculture, which corresponds to the original balance, where man lives in harmony with the chain of life, and respects a complex system of multiple natural influences. Certified since 2003.
Darjeeling PGI
Guaranteeing the origin of our teas is one of our top priorities. We're delighted to finally be able to display the official Darjeeling logo on our packaging, a guarantee of the geographical origin of this tea that we've cherished since our origins. Since 2011, the European Union has recognized the only existing PGI for tea. A guarantee of protection for Indian producers and consumers alike.
PGI: Protected Geographical Indication
Early tea
Discover fresh, delicate teas bursting with spring flavors! Considered by some to be the quintessence of natural teas, primeurs are the fruit of the first Camellia sinensis leaf harvests of the year.
Plain tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Tea and food pairings
With its complex milky, floral and fruity notes, this grand cru marries deliciously with the flowery, slightly salty texture of goat's cheese. A gourmet pairing that's sure to impress your guests!
You can also combine it with our recipe for Italian-style pork meatballs with rubs spices.

Pas encore goûté ms l'odeur de m'enchante pas plus que cela et je trouve les feuilles particulièrement cassées pour un thé primeur. Déçue.
