This springtime black tea from Darjeeling is an ode to the moon, which is so beneficial to tea plants. Its luminous infusion is a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship that elevates this harvest. It offers notes of asparagus and wildflowers against a slightly astringent backdrop that lends body to the infusion.

Singell Tea Garden
Terroir
The Singell Tea Garden, established in 1871 by the British with the aim of circumventing the Chinese tea trade, is one of Darjeeling’s earliest tea gardens. Abandoned in the 1980s due to social and political unrest, the garden lay derelict for many years before being purchased in the late 1990s. Located near Kurseong in the Darjeeling district, this region is known as the “Land of White Orchids.” Although situated at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, it enjoys a subtropical climate with pleasant temperatures year-round. Singell Garden is located near the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, home to many protected species such as the Indian bison, the royal Bengal tiger, and the red-necked hornbill. The soil is lateritic, and natural water sources come from nearby forested areas, where streams are channeled into small cisterns and reservoirs.
Community Projects
Water supply is a concern because its availability is threatened by deforestation. This has prompted the community to implement recycling initiatives and awareness campaigns with the help of the Fair Trade premium.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.

Guaranteeing the origin of our teas is one of our top priorities. We're delighted to finally be able to display the official Darjeeling logo on our packaging, a guarantee of the geographical origin of this tea that we've cherished since our origins. Since 2011, the European Union has recognized the only existing PGI for tea. A guarantee of protection for Indian producers and consumers alike.

Because we have always chosen teas of excellence produced by long-standing partners, we have a few rarities that gourmets will appreciate. Early tea

Original tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
