Tea preparation tips
A light, fresh white tea, ideal for everyone
During plucking, the buds and first two leaves of this white tea from ancient Vietnamese tea bushes are processed in the manner of a Bai Mu Dan. Its pale orange infusion exudes a fresh, flowery meadow fragrance. Its subtle, mild, slightly fruity flavor and low theine and tannin content make it a light, fresh drink, ideal for everyone.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Ancient and wild tea bushes
We offer teas from Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan that come from ancient, wild tea bushes, rich in active ingredients and antioxidants. This variety still grows in the dense tropical forests of the Golden Triangle mountains, and its promotion prevents deforestation in this region, and enables local minorities to survive.
Plain tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Tea & Food Pairings
This white tea can be paired with a bunch of white grapes and dried fruit such as Chinese jujubes. Or serve with wholemeal bread, butter and quince jelly for a subtle breakfast.
