Manufactured in the city of Yokkaichi, one of Japan's leading centers for the production of fine ceramics, this teapot, with its reddish-brown color typical of the "Banko Yaki" style, has the distinctive feature of being designed without a lid.
Its unique teardrop shape (Hitoshizuku) combines modern design with the traditional elegance of Banko-Yaki ceramics.
The absence of a lid prevents the tea from burning, making it ideal for brewing top-of-the-range sencha, gyokuro and other delicate teas.
Being able to see the entire hydration process of the leaves also enables you to calibrate the infusion time according to the tea. The pale green glaze on the inside avoids any terracotta memory effect, and it's possible to switch from one tea to another while preserving all their aromatic characteristics. The crackled appearance of the glaze (characteristic of this Fujiso-made teapot) means there's no risk of cracking.
The integrated ceramic sieve, hand-crafted and requiring great skill on the part of the master potter, also distinguishes this precision brewing instrument.
Last but not least, the absence of a handle makes this teapot easy to transport and store, making it suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Banko Yaki ceramic teapot without lid, reddish-brown (pale green interior glaze). Capacity approx. 220 ml.

Care instructions:
