For Japanese tea lovers
The teapot (Shiboridashi) and cooling pot (Yuzamashi), dedicated to the preparation of gyokuros or large senchas, are handcrafted in the town of Shigaraki in Japan by Sawa Houzan, a ceramist belonging to a line of potters established over three generations, whose work is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.
The teapot's small size is specially designed to obtain a liquor that will reveal all the subtleties of Japan's great green teas. The teapot also features fine grooves to retain the tea leaves and act as a filter.
The cooling pot is used to obtain the ideal brewing temperature for great Japanese green teas, by pouring boiling water into it, which is then poured back into the teapot. The temperature is lowered by around 10°C each time the water is passed from one container to the next, waiting a few seconds.
A true work of art at the service of the art of tea, these unique pieces testify to the high degree of mastery of the great Japanese ceramists.
These accessories are made of vitrified stoneware, so they have no memory, making them ideal for brewing small quantities of your favorite tea or infusion at home or on the move!
