For Japanese tea lovers
This set, dedicated to the preparation of gyokuros or large senchas, is hand-crafted in the Japanese town of Shigaraki by Sawa Houzan, one of a line of potters spanning three generations, whose work is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.
It comprises a cooling pot (Yuzamashi), a teapot (Shiboridashi) and five cups.
The cooling pot is used to obtain the ideal temperature for the infusion by pouring boiling water into it, which is then poured back into the teapot. The teapot features fine grooves to retain the tea leaves and act as a filter.
A truly unique piece, this beautiful and ingenious set testifies to the high degree of mastery of the great Japanese ceramists.
These accessories are made from vitrified stoneware, so they have no memory, making them ideal for brewing small quantities of your favorite tea or infusion at home or on the move!
