This porcelain cup was made in Jingdezhen* for Jardins de Gaïa.
Its ovoid shape, which nestles naturally in the palm of the hand, gives it great cachet, and its pearly whiteness allows the color of the tea to be appreciated with precision. It goes perfectly with our Jingdezhen porcelain teapots (ref. DZS006 and ref. DZS007).
*The cradle of porcelain and a world center for ceramics since the Tang dynasty (618-907), the city of Jingdezhen in Jiangsu province is the birthplace of Chinese porcelain manufacturing techniques. Its potters are internationally renowned for the excellence of their work.
