Tea preparation tips
A full-bodied, rich Vietnamese black tea
Originating from an ancient forest in Vietnam, this tea is harvested and processed by the Dao ethnic minority. Its dark, twisted leaves release a sweet, malty cognac liquor, with a scent mingling roasted chestnuts and flowers. Full-bodied and rich, this tea supports a hint of milk.
Organic farming
We have always offered organically grown teas and herbal teas, and used natural, organic flavours. We go even further, demanding that our suppliers use certified organic flavor carriers and solvents. Certified since 1994.
Fair trade
A WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified member, Les Jardins de Gaïa has been committed to fair trade since its creation: from the tea leaf to the cup, all our practices meet fair trade requirements. To find out more: www.wfto.com.
Ancient and wild tea bushes
We offer teas from Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan that come from ancient, wild tea bushes, rich in active ingredients and antioxidants. This variety still grows in the dense tropical forests of the Golden Triangle mountains, and its promotion prevents deforestation in this region, and enables local minorities to survive.
Plain tea
White, green, black and dark teas from China, India, Japan and elsewhere are all varieties from the same plant: the tea plant. Once plucked, the leaf is processed in different ways, undergoing numerous transformations. Depending on the terroir, the fineness of the leaf and the way it is processed, the result is an unlimited palette of tastes and vintages.
Tea and food pairings
The balanced, slightly sweet flavors of this black tea are ideal with a simple square of dark chocolate or fresh banana. A little overdosed, it can also be paired with hard cheeses such as young mimolette or grilled red meat.

Un thé que je connaissais.Il est issu de théiers anciens,ce qui est très intéressant, car ce type de thé est bien typé.Les feuilles me semblent différentes de celles issues de culture spécifiques.
