Matcha cookies, the recipe

Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking: 10 minutes at 180°C

Ingredients for 15 cookies

The recipe:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Mix together the butter, brown sugar and Bourbon vanilla and the egg to form a smooth mixture.

Add the salt and the raising agent, then add the flour little by little to make a firm dough.

Break the white chocolate with matcha into small pieces and mix into the dough.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Using a tablespoon, scoop up balls of dough and space them evenly on the tray.

Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C.

The story:

This white chocolate with artisanal matcha came about as result of a gourmet collaboration with Cacao Experience, a chocolate maker from Strasbourg which places as much importance on the quality of the cocoa beans as it does on where the beans come from and how they are produced –  organically and from agroforestry and ethical sectors.

What tea would you drink with these cookies ?

A  Dian Hong Golden Buds which releases an amber, fruity mellow brew – unique for a black tea  – or, if you prefer something caffeine-free,  a Wild Rooibos with its sweet and powerful aroma!
