Chocolate Matcha Financiers
Try this delicious vegan chocolate matcha financier recipe created by Emilie who runs the Rose and Berries blog! It combines the intense flavour of matcha, the delicacy of chocolate and the crunch of almonds – with no egg or lactose.
The perfect recipe for tea-time!
| Ingredients matcha financiers: – 80 g of icing sugar – 1 sachet of vanilla sugar – 50 g of powdered almonds – 40 g of flour – 2 level teaspoons of Matcha Cooking – 100 g of non-dairy yoghurt – 50 g neutral oil (melted margarine) – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 pinch of table salt – A few flaked almonds | Ingredients chocolate financiers: – 80 g of icing sugar – 1 sachet of vanilla sugar – 50 g of powdered almonds – 40 g of flour – 30 g of cocoa – 100 g of non-dairy yoghurt – 50 g neutral oil (melted margarine) – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 pinch of table salt – A few flaked almonds |
For the matcha mix:
1 – Mix together the yogurt and sugar
2 – Then add the oil, flour, powdered almond, matcha powder, salt and baking powder. Stir well.
For the chocolate mix:
1 – Mix together the yoghurt and sugar
2 – Then add the oil, flour, powdered almond, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Stir well.
3 – Spoon the chocolate mix into financier moulds (so they are filled half-way) then spoon the matcha mix on top. Sprinkle on the flaked almonds.
4- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180°C
